Jo Nakamura was born in Osaka, Japan in 1981. After he graduated from junior high school in Osaka, he entered a Japanese high school in Switzerland and travelled numbers of countries around Europe. In 1999 he moved to New York, where he studied industrial design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn from 2001 to 2005. Jo Nakamura now lives in the Netherlands, bringing his skills to perfection at the IM Master course 'Conceptual Design in Context' at the Design Academy in Eindhoven.
