Margriet Foolen graduated at the Advertising, Presentation and Communication School in 2002 and afterwards started her study at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. In June 2006 Margriet graduated at the department ‘Man and Activity’ and opened her own design studio in September.
Ever since then, Margriet exhibited her work, joined and won several design competitions and one of her graduation projects will be ready for the market in December. Three shows represented her work during the Dutch Design Week.
For the Call for competition, initiated by Droog and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Margriet proposed her design 'connect'. Connect is a customised paperclip which is a symbol for keeping countries and contacts together. Margriet is one of the finalists of the competition.
