Schie 2.0 was founded in 1998 in Rotterdam, by Jan Konings, Ton Matton and Lucas Verweij. Schie 2.0 is a network of designers from different disciplines that shape public spaces. Globalization and individualization have changed the conditions in public space so that there is no longer one public domain but several public domains. Schie 2.0 wants to understand and intensify these different public domains.

Schie 2.0 is working alternately on art, design, architectural, and urban town planning projects. Schie 2.0 are joined by a comprehensive agenda, founding their designs on the relationship between freedom and responsibility, durability and consumerism, nature and urbanism.
