A beautiful interior is a well-functioning space with its own story, a special place. Since 1998 spatial designer Bas van Tol has been concentrating on creating extraordinary interiors. After graduating in 1984 he initiated numerous different art projects and installations. Later, in the 1990s, he made designs for a large number of exhibitions and stands. For Bas van Tol, the essential factors in any design are the location (the context) and the people (the users). Whether it be an installation, an exhibition, a shop, a restaurant, an office or a showroom, it always involves a ‘situation’ that calls for a place all its own.
