Egbert-Jan Lam (Alkmaar, 1971) graduated in building-engineering in Alkmaar (1994) and from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 1999. In 2001 he set up buroJET.
 
Between 2001 and 2007 Egbert-Jan developed his skills and network in the field of design management, manufacturing, prototyping, product-development, sales, distribution, planning and advice working for several design firms, producing national and international design exhibitions and initiating and participating in artist cooperations and foundations.

In 2003 Egbert-Jan received a gouvernment grant for developing his work for a year.

Since 2007 he is working as an independent designer in Arnhem, the Netherlands. buroJET designs and developes concepts and products for their own label as well as for national and international contractors and manufacturers.
