Mario Minale was born in Italy and grew up in Germany. After graduating from the IM Master at the Design Academy Eindhoven he started working as independent conceptual and contextual designer together with Kuniko Maeda in Rotterdam as Minale Maeda. His intercultural background drives him to concile contrasts, which in his work is applied to fragmentation and consumer culture.
