 Chest of drawers number 100
Chest of drawers #100 for Droog, special drawer by Ted Noten

Chest of drawers number 100 by Tejo Remy

In 1991 Tejo Remy designed Chest of drawers: a dresser made of waste material as a comment on our consumer society. It became an icon of the nineties and is now a true collector’s piece. The chest of drawers reached an extended goal by going from recycling to immortalisation. An extra emphasise comes with the unique Chest of drawers number 100, for which Dutch jewellery designer Ted Noten created a special perspex drawer. Items that are usually hidden away, like a revolver, pearl necklace and diamonds, are fixed in the material forever. That way, both the chest and the contents are saved from the scrapheap.
