Bless is a fashion/design studio created in 1997 by Ines Kaag, based in Berlin, and Desiree Heiss in Paris. The two designers escape from any calibrated definition of fashion, faithful to their initial concept, dividing and combining creation, between fashion, art, design and architecture, they engage an independent work method, which often implies collaborations and interactions with friends, customers and other contributors. Their creation is born from true personal needs; aiming for simplicity and comfort throughout daily life while aspiring for more visionary horizons. Their products as well as their distribution systems do not fit into any pre-established category; Bless passes without transition from one area to another, from highly functional forms to conceptual propositions on the verge of abstraction. Bless does not communicate on its actors but rather on the networks of exchanges which it activates. The atmosphere and the environment of Bless presentations reflect this personal way of proceeding. Bless adopts a different way of expression every season. During these presentations, clothes are mostly worn by friends to produce a living context, implying the model and public as much as the products themselves. This notion of participation and exchange is characteristic of Bless work and gives products their real meaning.

Bless is neither fashion nor anti-fashion, but conceives fashion as a subjective space of adaptation, transformable and multifunctional, opened to all possibilities. BLESS does not promote any style BLESS fits every style!
