Material scarcity continues to be a pressing issue of our times. Material Matters was first presented as a future furniture fair in 2012 during the Salone del Mobile in Milan and as part of the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. The future furniture fair brought together existing, emerging and speculative initiatives and presented them as imaginary future companies that might come to thrive in the near future.
