Ikebana Workshop by The Little Shop of Flowers Tokyo
Offering flowers. Standing flowers. Arranging flowers.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll begin by crafting your own kenzan (flower holder) using traditional Japanese rice straw.
Then, using the one you made, you’ll arrange seasonal flowers in the basic style of Japanese ikebana.
You’ll learn simple techniques, but more importantly, you’ll discover how to enjoy the presence of flowers in your everyday life—
whether at home, during a dinner party, or when gifting flowers to someone special.
This is a chance to explore the Japanese way of choosing and arranging flowers—something you can continue to enjoy in your own home, even in the Netherlands.
You’ll take home:
- The flowers you selected
- The kenzan you made from rice straw
- A new, reusable kenzan to enjoy again at home
What to bring:
- Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy
- A towel or a cloth for wiping your hands
- Your own drink for hydration
Let flowers bring calm and beauty into your everyday life—join us for a very special ikebana experience.
