The Skepticals

Met een ronkend orgel, scheurende sax, groovende gitaar, fat bass & funky drums spelen The Skepticals een mix van diverse stijlen: soul jazz, boogaloo, New Orleans, spy-fi en rhythm ‘n blues. Het repertoire bestaat veelal uit eigen composities, waarin zo nu en dan ook de theremin rond spookt. Er verschenen inmiddels 2 tracks op vinyl: ‘DIABOLIK’ (Tardam Records / AcidJazz) en ‘CHILLS’ (Amsterdam BeatClub vol.3, Sonic Rendezvous). De 4-track digi-EP “Discothèque à Boogaloo” staat online. Verder zijn er nieuwe opnames gemaakt die op het punt staan te worden gereleased.

With a heavy organ, smooth sax, grooving guitar, fat bass & funky drums, The Skepticals play a mix of various styles: soul jazz, boogaloo, New Orleans, spy-fi, and rhythm ‘n blues. Their repertoire consists mainly of original compositions, occasionally featuring the theremin.
