Eddu Grau

Eddu Grau is a Brazilian singer-songwriter born in Rio de Janeiro and currently based in the Netherlands. His music connects the rhythmic traditions of Brazil with contemporary global influences, creating a unique sound that blends Afro-Brazilian grooves, MPB, reggae, folk and modern world music.

Growing up in the Complexo do Alemão, one of Rio’s most iconic communities, Eddu developed a musical identity deeply rooted in storytelling, resilience and cultural diversity.

Today, living in the Netherlands, his work explores migration, belonging, identity and cultural exchange, transforming personal stories into vibrant performances filled with rhythm, emotion and celebration.

His concerts invite audiences to experience Brazil beyond clichés—through original songs, captivating storytelling and infectious grooves.“Dona Tatá” is a musical project inspired by the migration story of Eddu’s grandmother, who left Brazil’s Northeast searching for a better future.
