The Copper Collection by Aldo Bakker for Thomas Eyck

The Copper Collection designed by Aldo Bakker for Thomas Eyck is a fresh and innovative approach to traditional and new techniques like moulding, galvanising and lacquering. The items are initially cast from molten copper in a unique mould, and then worked in a time intensive production method, cire perdu, also known as the lost-wax method. Widely used in Europe until the 18th century for small bronze sculptures, the technique ensures that the items are seamless.
