Right2Education: The Borders of Paradise

Join us for an evening screening of The Borders of Paradise, the debut feature documentary by Amsterdam-based filmmaker Nicolás Romero Silva. The documentary was independently financed, student-made, and already screened across multiple countries. Following the screening, we will host an open discussion connecting its themes to the realities of European migration policy, refugee integration in the Netherlands and broader peacebuilding efforts.

This event is organised as a fundraiser in support of our work. Proceeds will go towards sustaining our language courses, community activities, and peacebuilding initiatives. We warmly invite you to come support, engage, and be part of an evening of film, conversation and community.

About Right2Education:

We are two student-led NGOs based in Amsterdam. Right2Education was founded at Amsterdam University College in 2016. We offer free Dutch and English language courses to refugees and asylum seekers in the Netherlands, welcoming them as guest students into our academic community. Since our founding, we have opened our doors to around 3,000 guest students. As a student-led, volunteer-driven organisation, we focus not only on building language skills but also on fostering a strong sense of community through our buddy system and social events. Peace by Peace is a student-led NGO and open-access peacebuilding project. We are sharing the stories of youth peacebuilders from post-conflict societies worldwide, building a manual and community centred on peacebuilding.
