Hi, Handsome are a NZ/Irish-born, Amsterdam-based duo made up of Jesse Finn and Daragh Gillen. Their music sits somewhere between indie-pop, folk, and alt-country, with close harmonies, rough edges, and songs that blur confession with daydream.

Influenced by artists like Fleetwood Mac, Alexi Murdoch, Kacey Musgraves, and Johnny Cash, Hi, Handsome blend storytelling with atmosphere, writing about queerness, mental health, desire, shame, and all the complicated stuff in between.

Jesse, originally from Wellington, New Zealand, spent years fronting synth-pop band Opal House before moving to Amsterdam and starting again. Daragh, from Belfast, Ireland, brings a fine tuned musical instinct that spans traditional Irish, pop, electronic, and heavier sounds.

Their debut EP Southern Skies lands this August. Until then, stream their single “Blood Burn”.

Opening Act:

Mel Artuz (real name Melvin Dalati) is an Italian singer of Filipino and Lebanese descent.

Mel’s musical foundation began early at the age of 10, with classical flute training at the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan. He didn’t complete his studies there, choosing instead to pursue a dream of living abroad. Singing, though, was never something he had to learn. It was woven into daily life growing up in a Filipino family, where music was simply part of being together.

For the past ten years, Mel has called Amsterdam home. It’s there that he’s quietly built a personal songwriting practice, writing for himself as a way to process and express his own experience. He’s also a member of the Amsterdam Gay Men’s Chorus, a community that has given him space to grow and share his talent alongside others.
