Grass Girl Arouses tent, 2015

Grass Girl Arouses is an interactive installation created by Studio Droog in 2015 for Splendour in the Grass, an exhibition at New York’s Museum of Sex that explored the connection between nature, intimacy, and sensory experience.

The installation featured a reclining female figure covered in artificial grass inside a tent-like setting, inviting visitors to come closer, touch, listen, and interact. As people approached, subtle sounds, whispers, and tactile effects created an intimate and slightly surreal atmosphere that encouraged awareness of both the body and the surrounding environment.

Playful, provocative, and immersive, Grass Girl Arouses reflects Droog’s experimental approach to design, where objects and spaces become tools for interaction and emotional experience. Blending humour with sensory exploration, the project transformed a simple encounter into a reflection on intimacy, perception, and human connection.
