Jens Praet’s One Day Paper Waste began in 2007 with a simple question: what if yesterday’s paperwork became tomorrow’s furniture? He shredded discarded documents, combined the pieces with resin and pressed the mixture into a mould, creating a solid material with the strength and feel of wood.

For the colourful ELLE Glossy Edition, leftover magazine pages replaced plain office paper. Fragments of photographs, headlines, and colours remain visible across the surface, giving the table its lively, confetti-like pattern. Presented in Milan in 2008, the design turns a day’s worth of paper waste into something useful and impossible to overlook.
