The Flag by Edith Dekyndt

The Flag offers a quiet and unusual take on the idea of a national flag. Instead of colours, patterns, or symbols, the flag is made from transparent material, allowing the sky and surroundings behind it to become part of the work. Because of this, the flag almost disappears, changing depending on the light, weather, and movement of the wind.

By removing the usual elements of a flag, the design invites people to think differently about borders, identity, and national symbols. Rather than representing one country, the flag simply shows the shared space around it.
