vergaderen met catering in amsterdam: meer dan een zaal en een broodje
You are looking for a place to meet in Amsterdam. A place with good food, a proper setup, and an atmosphere that actually does something. Not just a hotel basement with a screen and a coffee machine. That bar is low. You deserve more than that.
Vergaderen met catering in Amsterdam means finding a space where the environment supports the conversation, and where the food feels like it belongs there too. At @droog, we think about both.
why the space matters as much as the menu
Most people focus on catering first. Understandable. Nobody wants dry sandwiches and warm orange juice halfway through a session. But the room you sit in shapes how people think and interact just as much as what they eat.
Design thinking is at the core of everything we do. Our building, our rooms, our choices. They all reflect a deliberate way of creating environments that challenge default thinking. When you walk into one of our spaces, something shifts. That is intentional.
And when you pair that kind of environment with honest, locally sourced food? The whole day feels different.
the spaces at @droog
We have several rooms available, each with its own character. Depending on your group size, your agenda and your setup, there is always a space that fits.
the grand space
On the ground floor, with direct access to our garden. This space holds up to 90 seated or 160 standing. A stage, beamer, and sound system are included. Great for conferences, talks, panel discussions, networking drinks or a combination of all of these. The sliding door connects it directly to the outdoors, which makes it feel open and dynamic even when completely full.
the red space
A theatre room like no other. Red, pink, orange, purple. A round U-shaped tribune with movable cushions. Professional theatre equipment. Up to 80 people, though 50 to 60 is the sweet spot for comfort. If you want a space that puts focus on the speaker or the show, this is it. It works beautifully as a breakout space during a larger event day.
the white space
Upstairs, with large white windows looking out over the old Amsterdam canal houses and our garden. This space fits up to 70 in theatre setting or 50 seated with tables. Perfect for trainings, larger meetings, workshops or creative sessions. The light alone makes it worth the visit.
the library
A more intimate room, also upstairs. Yellow chairs around a long table, flowered wallpaper based on a painting from the Rijksmuseum, and a flat chandelier overhead. This room seats up to 10 people. No more. It is focused, cosy and completely private. Ideal for a board meeting or a private dinner at the end of a longer event day.
the cafe
At the top of our yellow staircase, overlooking the Groenburgwal canal. This is our most visually striking space. A blue butterfly lamp, an inside-out cafe, a fireplace, a curved white tiled bar. Up to 180 people standing or 70 seated depending on setup. It opens to the public daily for lunch. For your event, we can close it off entirely and make it your own.
catering that fits the philosophy
We source locally whenever we can. That is not a marketing line, it is a building principle. The same thinking that went into our architecture and our furniture goes into our food choices. Seasonal, honest, made with care.
Whether you need a working lunch during a full-day session, coffee and something good in the morning, a proper sit-down dinner in the library, or drinks and bites at the end of the day in the cafe, we can arrange it. The catering adapts to your programme, not the other way around.
We do not offer a rigid menu package. We talk about what your day looks like and build the catering around that. What time do people arrive? Is there a break in the afternoon? Do you want people to stay seated or move around? These details matter.
combining spaces for a full event day
Events do not have to stay in one room. If your day includes a plenary session, a few breakout rounds, lunch together and drinks at the end, we simply add more rooms. The grand space connects to the red space and the garden. The upper floor holds the white space, the library and the cafe. You can move through the building and each space feels entirely different.
This makes @droog especially well suited for symposiums, leadership days, training programmes, strategy sessions, or any format where variety of environment actually adds something to the agenda. And it always does.
who comes to @droog for meetings with catering
Mostly B2B. Companies that care about how a day is designed. Teams that want the environment to do some of the work. Organisations that are tired of generic conference hotels and want a location that says something about how they think.
We also host PhD promotions, book launches, small concerts, and private dinners. The spaces are flexible enough to hold many formats. The philosophy behind them stays constant.
