Do Create by Droog Design x KesselsKramer
Launched in 2000, Do Create was a collaborative project by Droog Design and KesselsKramer that placed participation at the centre of design. Instead of presenting products as finished and untouchable, the project invited users to change them, complete them, or follow simple instructions. Each design became something different through use, turning everyday interaction into part of the creative process. The result was a series in which the experience mattered just as much as the object itself.
The idea was that a brand can be strong, so strong that KesselsKramer decided to create an entirely empty brand. They called it ‘do’.
The Do Create exhibition brought together a series of interactive designs by international designers, each inviting the user to take part in completing or transforming the object.

During the Do Create exhibition, visitors were invited to interact and play, and thereby influence the design. The final designs of Do Create were shown at the Salone del Mobile in Milano in 2000, and at the following locations:
