Crystal virus: Massive infection by Pieke Bergmans made in collaboration with master-glass blower Gert Bulle (Royal Leerdam)

Pieke Bergmans, in collaboration with master-glass blower Gert Bulle (Royal Leerdam), created a special edition of Crystal virus for Droog: the Massive infection. Like real amoebas and bacteria, 30 amorphous forms of liquid crystal ‘invaded’ the table. They burned their traces to the wood, leaving a black circle pattern. Instead of being destructive, these shapes are friendly and can be used as vases.
